Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist with a focus on backend systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and maintaining backend systems, rerunning scripts, and using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) for remote access. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of backend systems, resolving technical issues, and providing support to other IT teams and users.

Key Responsibilities:

1.⁠ ⁠System Monitoring and Maintenance:

  • Monitor backend systems and servers to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and system backups.

2.⁠ ⁠Script Management:

  • Rerun and troubleshoot scripts to resolve backend issues or perform routine tasks.
  • Create and modify scripts as needed for automation and system management.

3.⁠ ⁠Remote Support:

  • Use RDP and other remote tools to access and manage backend systems.
  • Provide remote support for users and systems, resolving technical issues related to backend processes.

4.⁠ ⁠Incident Management:

  • Respond to and resolve backend system incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on operations.
  • Document incidents and solutions, contributing to the knowledge base.
  • Database and Server Administration:
  • Assist in the management and administration of databases and servers.
  • Ensure data integrity and system security by following best practices.

5.⁠ ⁠Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to ensure backend systems meet business needs.
  • Communicate effectively with users and team members to provide timely updates and solutions.

6.⁠ ⁠Documentation:

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for backend systems, scripts, and processes.
  • Create user guides and technical documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

1.⁠ ⁠Educational Background:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), ITIL) are a plus.

2.⁠ ⁠Technical Skills:

  • Experience with backend systems management, including databases, servers, and network infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) for remote system management.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, particularly Linux and Windows Server.
  • Basic understanding of database administration and network management.

3.⁠ ⁠Experience:

  • Previous experience in a backend IT support or system administration role.
  • Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot backend processes and server environments.

4.⁠ ⁠Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

5.⁠ ⁠Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
