We are currently looking for a Field Based Medical Affairs Manager to join our team to get ahead of disease together. In this role, you will primarily acts as a scientific resource for defined disease areas in GSK as well as building and managing engagement with external experts. You will also be responsible for development of speakers/advocates for the therapy areas.

Works under the direction and support of the Vaccines Medical Director/Manager to establish, build and manage relationships with identified external experts (EE), healthcare practitioners (HCP), professional associations, decision makers and other key stakeholders
Ensures all Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) activities are compliant with GSK Code of Conduct, relevant SOPs, SE and external guidelines
Effectively communicate information on disease area and product related new data, tailored towards different specialties of healthcare professionals.
Supports organization of medical education in partnership with professional medical societies and digital third party platforms.
Stakeholder identification and mapping for defined therapy area.
Develops and maintains extensive knowledge on disease areas to serve as a scientific resource
Responsibly interacts, educates and engages with EE, HCP, professional associations, decision makers and other key stakeholders to raise awareness on defined therapy area
Constructs and implements within their geographical area, their local plan of engagement with EE, HCP, professional associations, decision makers and other key stakeholders to raise awareness on defined therapy area
Ensures knowledge transfer to EE, HCP, professional associations, decision makers and other key stakeholders on defined therapy area
Ensures scientific understanding and advocacy for defined disease areas
Identifies opportunities for engaging with EE, HCP, professional associations, decision makers and other key stakeholders to raise awareness on defined therapy area
Act as a conduit with the in-house Medical group
Actively supports and participates in relevant scientific and medical symposia to raise awareness on defined disease area
Lead role/Champion for allocated projects
Special projects as may be agreed from time to time
Why You?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Pharmacist, MSc, PhD, Degree in other life sciences
1-3 years of prior experience with pharmaceutical, biotech or relevant industry experience, Field experience desirable
Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with OL, HCP, professional associations, decision makers and other key stakeholders
Knowledge of regulations governing information provision to OL, HCP, professional associations, decision makers and other key stakeholders
Utilizes medical and scientific knowledge and information to raise awareness on therapy disease area
Has functional responsibility for supporting OL, HCP, professional associations, decision makers and other key stakeholders with approved educational materials if requested
