Key Responsibilities: Cloud Architecture: Design and optimize cloud architectures that are scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient. Design and Documentation: Develop new infrastructure solutions and be responsible for creating both high-level and low-level design documents. Independently handle the creation of smaller deliverables. Migration Planning: Lead cloud and datacenter migration initiatives. Assess existing on-premises systems and develop comprehensive migration roadmaps, including project plans. Infrastructure Optimization: Analyze infrastructure resources to identify opportunities for performance improvements and cost optimizations. Project/Team Management: Lead small technical teams, coordinate activities of junior team members, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards. Report to the project manager and oversee the execution of smaller consulting projects. Automation and DevOps: Provide expertise in infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices. Design or implement automation and DevOps strategies to streamline cloud operations and enhance efficiency. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including application teams and network engineers, to develop integrated solutions. Client Communication: Build and maintain strong client relationships. Communicate effectively, proactively address concerns, and ensure overall client satisfaction. Innovation: Continuously expand your infrastructure engineering expertise. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies, exploring innovative solutions to enhance our offerings. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure consulting, architecture, administration, or a similar role. Strong understanding of IaaS and PaaS cloud services. Proficiency in one or more cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with relevant certifications. Knowledge of key infrastructure components—compute, storage, networking—and their foundational principles. Understanding of virtualization and experience with server or desktop virtualization solutions (e.g., VMware vSphere, MS Hyper-V). Experience with cloud or on-premise migration tools and strategies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and articulate complex infrastructure solutions. Excellent project management and client communication skills. A strong desire to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving field. Team player with leadership experience. Advanced scripting and coding skills; familiarity with automation tools like Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
