We are seeking for a highly motivated, independent professional to join our Corporate Recovery team. As part of the Corporate Recovery team, you will assist the team on restructuring and insolvency activities for the clients.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Assist in the administration of corporate restructuring and insolvency engagements, which include (i) liquidation, (ii) receivership, (ii) judicial management, (iii) scheme of arrangement, (iv) corporate voluntary arrangement. Responsibilities include (list not exhaustive):

  • To manage progress, scheduling and delivery of work.
  • To attend internal and external meetings of work related.
  • To liaise with clients and lawyers for court appointments.
  • To explore and identify new development and business opportunities.
  • To collaborate with professionals such as tax agents, auditors, accountants, directors and/or shareholders to ensure that work accordance with rules and regulations relating to Insolvency duties and responsibilities.
  • To perform financial review, understand the client’s need and prepare work proposal and engagement letter.
  • To review your peer works entirely to ensure that work performed according to checklist and standard of operation set by internal management or professional bodies.
  • To update management of department budget in terms of revenue, collection and human resources.
  • To attend management meeting to provide an update of job development, job lost and job won.
  • To coach and guide junior team members, and review their work.
  • To attend to expression of interest, asset sale by tender or private treaty including review draft info memorandum, order form or tender form, asset viewing, closure of sale process, issuance of letter to inform the interested buyer, arrangement for completeness of sale process.
  • To plan delegation of work and team tasks, and support team members.
  • Coordinate and plan allocation of job to team members, and ensure they understand their roles and professional duties.
  • Responsible in development of the department, monitor staff performance and present internal training.

    Requirements:
  • At least 5 years’ proven corporate recovery experience and technical knowledge gained in relevant services or a similar environment.
  • University degree majoring in tax, accounting, finance or related fields
  • Professionally certified with a professional accountancy membership body such as ACCA/ MICPA/CPA/ICAEW is an advantage
  • High degree of integrity, strong sense of responsibility and attention to details in delivering quality works.
  • Strong commercial acumen and management skills with focus on business development of the department and the firm.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills in building collaborative partnership both within and outside the firm.
  • Strong command of English language and business writing skills.
  • Strong capability to manage priorities, deadlines and frequent changes.
  • Strong written and verbal communications, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • University degree majoring in tax, accounting, finance or related fields;
  • Professionally certified with a professional accountancy membership body such as ACCA/ MICPA/CPA/CTIM is an advantage.
