- Assist in creating purchase orders based on approved requisitions and ensure they are processed promptly.
- Track order status and delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of materials and supplies.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm orders, and follow up on any issues related to pricing, delivery, or quality.
- Assist in managing supplier relationships to foster reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor inventory levels in coordination with the warehouse and production teams to prevent material shortages or overstock.
- Compare prices, terms, and delivery schedules from various suppliers to identify the best options.
- Work with the Purchasing Manager to analyze purchasing trends and suggest cost-saving measures.
- Ensure all purchasing records, invoices, and vendor contracts are accurately filed and easily accessible.
- Assist in preparing reports related to purchasing activities, budget tracking, and vendor performance.
- Support compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.
- Ensure all materials and supplies ordered meet required quality standards for the manufacturing plant.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and finance teams to align purchasing activities with operational needs.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams to manage timely receipt and inspection of goods.
Job Types: Part-time, Internship
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,600.00 per month
Expected hours: 45 per week
