CHEMISTRY / BIOLOGY TEACHER

Responsibilities:

• Understanding the curriculum and developing scheme of work, lesson plans,
• laboratory work and teaching methods that will help students cover the required content.
• Preparing and delivering lessons that are stimulating, active and effective.
• Educating students on lab safety and ensuring all experiments are carried out responsibly.
• Setting up and executing formative and summative assessments according to the set deadlines and grading students in a fair and timely manner.
• Ensuring appropriate resources and consultation times are available to students.
• Attending staff and parent meetings, conferences, workshops, and other internal and external continuing professional development programs.
• Supporting student activities including extracurricular activities and any other activities as required by the management.
• Ensuring an up-to-date student record (marks, attendance, performance feedback etc) is maintained.
• Ensuring a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment where learning can take place.
• Maintain professional and timely communication through official platforms with all stakeholders at all times.
• Able to positively collaborate and contribute in a professional capacity in any duties set by the management.

Requirements:

• Degree in chemistry/biology or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of working experience as a Teacher in an International School with knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE British syllabus.
• Ability to teach both Chemistry and Biology subjects.
• PC literate and able to use multi-media resources in the classroom.
• Excellent proficiency in English both spoken and written. Other languages an additional plus point.
• Passionate about education, patient, willing to learn, adaptable & loves learning/teaching children.
• Highly responsible, dedicated, hardworking and a team-player.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Subang Jaya.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,800.00 - RM4,600.00 per month
