PROJECT ENGINEER

JOB PRINCIPLE

Lead the take-up of new product realization, from RFQ to SOP against customer defined quality and schedule. It shall include the coordination of new product project management using defined APQP technique, using all related and valid tools, at minimum, per specified by AIAG, ISO/TS 16949 and specific customer requirements. The position is also responsible to coordinate internal inter and cross-functional experts in the project, as well as updating customer on regular basis to ensure achievement of intended quality, cost and delivery.

JOB PURPOSE

To plan and implement the new project development activities as per defined schedule, tasks, resources, standard, etc.
To review progress sufficiently on regular basis to ensure issues, problems or changes are resolved in timely and effective manner.
To update customer on regular basis. To resolve any issues or problems amicably and to ensure completion of actions within agreed time period.
To support Finance and Business Development department on technical feasibility study for costing analysis and quotation preparation to customer during RFQ stage.
To provide technical presentation slide (whenever necessary) that includes details on project schedule, mould layout, diecasting machine tonnage, machining jig concept, production capacity and cycle time, etc for any potential projects award.
Involve in cost reduction activity through Value Added Value Engineering (VAVE) program.
Participate as internal auditor in yearly internal audit with collaboration of Quality Management System (QMS) department. Participate as verifier in stock take activity conducted by Finance department.
To plan and implement on delivery requirement that are related to customer request during development stages.
To plan and implement trial on casting, machining process & any additional secondary process.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
0-2 years of experience in related field.
Fresh Graduate is welcome.
Familiar with project management, feasibility, design and all quality assurance tools.
Strong organizational/time management skills.
Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Able to multi-task and work under pressure
