Responsibilities Project Leadership - Lead the design process for multiple property development projects simultaneously. - Develop and manage project design schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases. Team Management - Manage and mentor a team of designers, architects, and external consultants. - Foster a collaborative and innovative working environment. Design Development - Oversee the creation of conceptual designs, schematic designs, and detailed design documents. - Ensure designs meet the company's aesthetic, functional, and sustainability goals. - Review and approve design drawings and specifications. Coordination and Collaboration - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, construction teams, and clients. - Facilitate communication between design team members and other departments. Quality Assurance - Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the design process. - Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices. Budget Management - Develop and manage design budgets. - Monitor project costs and ensure design projects remain within budget. Regulatory Compliance - Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and building codes. - Coordinate with regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals and permits. Innovation and Trends - Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and innovations. - Integrate new design methods and materials to enhance project outcomes. Client Relations - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients. - Present design concepts and progress updates to clients and stakeholders. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus. - Minimum of 8 years of experience in design management within the property development sector. - Proven experience in leading and managing design teams. - Strong knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite). - Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulatory standards. - Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills. - Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. - Creative and strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
