A Site Safety Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel working at a construction site or industrial facility. They are responsible for implementing safety protocols, conducting inspections, providing training, and enforcing safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Yellow Book Holder
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certifications).
- Experience in safety supervision on construction sites or industrial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Safety Inspections:
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the construction site or facility to identify hazards and non-compliance with safety standards.
- Document and report any safety violations or concerns to the site manager and relevant authorities.
Safety Training:
- Organize and deliver safety training programs for all personnel, including new hires and subcontractors.
- Ensure that workers understand and follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- Provide training on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Safety Procedures and Policies:
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and guidelines tailored to the specific site or facility.
- Ensure that all workers are aware of and adhere to safety policies.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Establish emergency response plans and procedures for incidents such as fires, chemical spills, and medical emergencies.
- Conduct drills and exercises to ensure workers know how to respond to emergencies.
Incident Reporting:
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine their causes and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of all safety-related incidents and their outcomes.
Safety Equipment and Gear:
- Ensure the availability and proper maintenance of safety equipment and gear, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and fall protection systems.
- Verify that all workers use appropriate PPE.
Safety Communication:
- Facilitate open and clear communication about safety issues between management, workers, and subcontractors.
- Conduct safety meetings to discuss concerns and provide updates on safety performance.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about relevant safety regulations and standards, and ensure the site or facility is in compliance with them.
- Interface with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
Hazard Mitigation:
- Identify and prioritize safety hazards and risks.
- Develop and implement measures to mitigate hazards and minimize risks.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
