The Remote Operation Control Centre (ROCC) Real Time Engineer (RTE) is responsible for the remote operation of multiple Air Separation Units (ASU) across the SEA/NEAPAC region, adapting the load to the Best Economical Point and to the actual customer demand. You will be part of 24/7 shift team, including experienced Senior RTE and will also strongly interact with the local site team, LEAD Center and the Energy Management Office.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Systematically run the asset optimizer and execute the change through cyber secure digital platform to adjust the ASU production.

  • Coordinate and implement energy contribution activities in real-time.

  • Within the scope of remote operation, communicate plant related information and coordinate site activities with site operation team.

  • Support liquid allocation by working closely with ROCC Supply Chain Analyst.

  • Alert the ROCC manager when the facility operation range needs to be updated/when the process control strategy doesn't fit the latest customer demand profiles.

  • Respond and react and escalate the PI event frame alert through alert management system and close those alert with the help of Senior Real-Time Engineer, LEAD and local operation team.

  • Drive and act up on internal/external customer interactions (Gas nomination, demand consolidation)

  • Key stakeholder of "industrial crisis management" in case of plant trip, upset or abnormal inventory level

  • Deliver & actively participate an effective shift-handover (Note key point such ongoing activity, active bad PERFORM model, specific gas/liquid demand, safety/reliability/efficiency activity, critical tank level (near or projected to reach BCP level), most critical alert, ASU product splits etc.)

  • Drive assigned continuous improvement projects (C-IMP) and report associated benefit (when necessary lead project risk and mitigation planning)

Are you a MATCH?

The successful candidate should have:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering and/ or Process Control or equivalent.

  • 1 - 3 years of experience as a Plant/Process Engineer involved in Operations or Operations Management will be an added advantage. Fresh Engineering graduates are welcome to apply!

  • Must be fluent communication in English, both verbal and written.

  • Keen to cope and leverage digital tools.

  • Excellent communication skills to deal with multiple stakeholders, high autonomy and able to learn fast.

  • Demonstrated good flexibility and resilience.
