Sewerage Treatment Plant Competent Engineer

Contract duration: 6 months Job Description: Manage overall operation and maintenance of Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) with valid certified competency as Certified Environmental Professionals in Sewerage Treatment Plant Operation (CePSTPO). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provides engineering and technical support to manage operation and maintenance team in STP. - The engineer & technician team for STP are outsourced to an external company. - Possesses required STP experience in design, integrity and performance of equipment, systems and services as per engineering specifications and relevant codes and practices. - Manages the development and delivery of nominated small projects. - Leads the development and implementation of the STP’s mid-long term reliability strategy - Leads and manage a group of out-sourced engineers and technicians in all aspect of STP work e.g. lead in technical know-how, daily and ad hoc meetings, settle complex issues, derive work plan & repair scheme, manage budget etc. - Delegates tasks and routine work effectively to outsourced engineers and technicians. - Identify the needs of the Facilities Equipment maintenance and draw the necessary maintenance plans & execute. - Supervise the task of drafting and update STP layout as and when required. - Hands on in identifying and troubleshooting issues faced on daily and routine basis. - Be a conduit and channel of communication between facilities staff with other departments’ staff and outsourced staff manning the STP operations. - Communicate effectively with CREW/Facilities manager for all relevant information relating to his responsibilities. Qualifications REQUIRED: - Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in any Engineering field or equivalent. - Minimum 1 year working experience especially in Sewerage Treatment Plant - Valid certification in Certified Environmental Professionals in Sewerage Treatment Plant Operation (CePSTPO). PREFERRED: - Experience in working in manufacturing environment SKILLS - Pro-active, independent and right attitude. - Possess right analytical skills. - Good communication skills and able to converse and write well in English.
