Cross-functional Coordination

- Serve as the main point of contact between the technical team and stakeholders.
- Report on project progress, risks, and issues; provide regular updates to stakeholders at all levels.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and vendors, ensuring that expectations are managed and met.
Risk Management
- Identify, analyse, and proactively address project risks and issues.
- Develop mitigation strategies and communicate them to stakeholders, adjusting project plans as necessary.
- Document lessons learned to improve project processes.
Quality Assurance & Control
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Implement quality assurance processes, including testing and feedback cycles.
- Coordinate final project evaluations and “go-live” processes, ensuring successful handoffs to operational teams.
Agile & Lean Methodologies (for Agile environments)
- Use Agile methodologies (such as Scrum or Kanban) to manage project workflows.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives for iterative delivery.
- Adapt project management techniques based on project needs and company methodology.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. (A master’s degree can be a plus.)
- Certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional), CSM (Certified Scrum Master), or similar Agile certifications are often preferred.
Experience
- 3-7 years of experience managing technology or software projects, depending on the seniority level of the role.
- Proven experience delivering projects on time, within scope, and budget in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Knowledge
- Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Asana, Microsoft Project, or similar.
- Basic understanding of technical concepts (e.g., databases, cloud services, software development) is helpful for communicating with tech teams.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to anticipating and addressing challenges.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and time-management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
Analytical Skills
- Ability to analyse data to make informed project decisions and track key performance indicators.
- Strong focus on results, ensuring project outcomes align with business goals.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a specific tech domain (e.g., SaaS, cloud computing, mobile app development) can be advantageous.
- Advanced certifications, such as SAFe Agilist, Prince2, or Lean Six Sigma, may be valued.
