The primary role of this function is to analyze, design, develop and maintain People System applications based on business requirements across all business functionalities. Working closely with key stakeholders to define and document technical specifications and schedule.
Let’s talk about responsibilities:
Collaborates with business stakeholders, functional and technical workstream to understand business requirements and translate those requirements into technical solutions.
Provides technical leadership and guidance for the incremental addition of new features of Workday HCM solutions.
Lead the Design end to end solution for the HCM platform, Workday HCM integrations, reports, and customizations - you will also be responsible for system quality, lifecycle management and perform the technical lead role in the delivery, deployment and operational support of systems within an agile team.
Provides guidance on technical design and implementation best practices for Workday HCM solutions..
Manages technical risks and issues and provides mitigation strategies as needed.
Ensure technical alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
Take initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, users, peers, and all levels of management.
Adhere to the processes and policies defined by ResMed Quality, Security and IT management
Utilising your technical expertise, you will also participate in delivery and/or operational support activities as part of the team.
Lead cross-team efforts to maintain and verify security policies and controls.
Plan and lead PI (Program Increment) planning sessions and ensure successful execution by working collaboratively with the People Technology team, Business, Architect and Planning Portfolio Lead (PPL).
Define and enforce configuration, testing, and change control processes, ensuring traceability of activities.
Facilitate regular team ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, iteration planning, team demo and iteration retrospective
Let’s talk about qualifications and experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.); Major or Minor in Information Systems
8 to 12 years of Experience in a similar role with extensive system knowledge of Workday HCM modules, including: Absence, Advanced Compensation, Integrations, Talent and Recruitment
Well-developed root-cause analytical skills with the ability to configure and troubleshoot issues and defects
Experience in developing and supporting RAAS, EIB, Connector and simple Studio integrations
Good knowledge and experience of Web Services Development (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc)
Experience in managing multiple and competing priorities
Excellent non-technical communication
To be agile and adaptive - this role is evolving as business needs arise
Ability to work flexibility across multiple time zones, as required by the global nature of this role.
Preferred:
Workday Pro certification in one or multiple HCM modules
Good understanding of Agile development methodologies, preferable in Scrum
