- Keep track of spare parts inventory and perform regular stock checks.
- Forecast demand for parts and adjust inventory as needed.
Procurement & Sourcing:
- Find and buy spare parts from local and international suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, delivery times, and terms with suppliers.
Logistics & Distribution:
- Manage shipments and ensure they follow import/export rules.
- Ensure spare parts are safely packed, labeled, and shipped.
Technical Support & Customer Service:
- Work with technical teams to meet spare parts needs.
- Handle customer questions and resolve any issues with parts.
Cost & Budget Management:
- Manage the budget for spare parts and find ways to save money.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Keep records and create reports on inventory and procurement activities.
Supplier Performance & Quality Control:
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure parts meet quality standards.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure spare parts are handled and stored safely and in line with regulations.
Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest and implement improvements to spare parts management processes.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, with occasional overtime and travel required.
- May involve physically handling spare parts in a warehouse setting.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in spare parts management, procurement, or logistics.
- Experience using inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Skills:
- Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management techniques.
