Job Description:

Report to the QA Manager.
Act as the section head of QA operations for Incoming Quality Check (IQC), In Process Quality Check (IPQC), In Lab Testing, and Customer Complaints.
Serve as the Assistant Management Representative and Assistant Food Safety Team Lead for implementing the Quality & Food Safety Management System in the company.
Manage the Halal Assurance System (HAS) and Halal products certification according to regulatory requirements.
Assist the Management Representative and Food Safety Team Lead in ensuring effective implementation of Quality & Food Safety Management System within the company.
Lead and supervise key personnel in QA functions, ensuring operations are carried out in accordance with plans, company policy, and objectives, while continually identifying and implementing improvements.
Identify training needs for key personnel and ensure they are adequately trained and competent in performing their assigned tasks.
Develop and review appropriate testing procedures for Incoming Quality Check (IQC), In Process Quality Check (IPQC), and In Lab Testing.
Lead and coordinate investigations and troubleshooting related to material, process, and product nonconformities.
Ensure compliance with inspection and testing procedures so that products undergo necessary quality screenings.
Address and manage customer complaints and feedback promptly, ensuring they are handled according to established plans and procedures.
Keep customer specifications updated according to the latest requirements and ensure effective communication of these updates.
To renew applicable certifications which are under QA’s responsibility on a timely basis.
To coordinate internal and external audit.
Prepare functional section reports related to Quality & Food Safety Management System, ensuring KPIs are consistently achieved, and take corrective actions when necessary.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects for the betterment of the company and the QA functional section.
Ensure effective communication within and between departments in the company proactively.
Ensure that product quality meets internal, statutory, and regulatory specifications, and that equipment used in quality and food safety verification is maintained appropriately.
Actively participate in any ad-hoc assignments identified by management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiologist, Food Technology, Chemist or related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years experience in QA/QC (preferable in bottled water or food & beverages).
Knowledgeable in plastic packaging materials.
Knowledgeable in FSSC 22000 and GFSI standards with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements for bottled water & beverages.
Proficient in QA inspection and testing programs.
Strong knowledge in microbiological testing.
Willing to be based in Taiping, Perak.

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
