Production Planning:
- Develop and maintain production plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure schedules align with material availability and capacity.
- Monitor and track production schedules to ensure deadlines are met and product quality is maintained.
- Adjust production plans as needed to respond to changing customer demand, machine downtime, or material shortages.
- Work closely with the Quality Control and R&D teams to ensure that any new products or formula changes are integrated into the production schedule.
- Prepare and update daily/weekly/monthly production plans and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Procurement:
- Ensure the timely sourcing and procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and other supplies.
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials and work with suppliers to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices, quality, and delivery terms for materials.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, regulations, and company policies during the procurement process.
- Track and manage purchase orders, supplier lead times, and material deliveries to avoid disruptions in production.
- Maintain relationships with key suppliers and continuously evaluate their performance to ensure supply chain reliability.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels of both raw materials and finished goods to ensure alignment with production schedules.
- Ensure proper inventory control procedures are in place, including stock rotation, FIFO (First-In, First-Out), and shelf-life management.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Analyze and report on stock movements, consumption trends, and potential supply chain disruptions.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as production, sales, and logistics to ensure smooth coordination of activities and alignment on priorities.
- Provide regular updates to management on production status, inventory levels, and procurement challenges.
- Assist in the development of strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize waste.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, procurement transactions, and inventory movements.
- Generate reports on production performance, material usage, procurement spend, and inventory status for senior management.
- Ensure proper documentation is in place for compliance with food industry regulations and internal policies.
- Achieve at least Diploma certificate in supply chain or related field
- Proven experience (2-3 years) in production planning, procurement, or supply chain roles, FMCG, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- English & Mandarin proficiency required to communicate with oversea suppliers.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, production scheduling, and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP / accounting software
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, Halal) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Able to meticulously manage schedules, inventory, and procurement tasks.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess production trends, procurement needs, and inventory levels to optimize processes.
- Time Management: Excellent ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
