RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Responsible for preparing and cooking food according to standardized recipes and company guidelines. This may involve tasks such as butchering, baking, grilling, sautéing, and more.
  • Work closely with the sous chef or executive chef to create and update menus for the company's central kitchen. This could involve incorporating seasonal ingredients, catering to dietary restrictions, and ensuring menu variety and appeal.
  • Oversee and train junior chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and hygiene standards. You need to provide guidance on cooking techniques, recipe execution, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Maintain quality control throughout the food production process. This includes monitoring the freshness and quality of ingredients, checking cooked dishes for taste and presentation, and promptly addressing any issues that arise.
  • Involved in managing inventory levels, ensuring adequate supplies are available in the central kitchen. This could involve monitoring stock, placing orders for ingredients, and minimizing wastage

REQUIREMENTS :

  • SPM / Diploma or relevant certification preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a catering or commercial kitchen environment.
  • Strong culinary skills, particularly in large-volume cooking.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Creativity in presentation and menu planning.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
