Qualifications:

  • Chargeman certificate with minimum level AO.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Industry is an advantage.
  • Candidate must possess at least a diploma or professional qualification in electrical, facilities maintenance or an equivalent field.
  • Have maintenance knowledge and facility management, strong organizational, communication, Auto CAD software for facility layout (advantage), record keeping skills and basic proficiency with Microsoft office.
  • Ability to cope with pressure, self-motivated with high sense of urgency and responsibility.
  • Has ability to learn an follow order/instruction from senior and superior.
  • Has strong leadership to supervise and ensure assigned task is completed.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize and maintain routine, corrective and periodical preventive maintenance (daily, weekly, month or annual) & report on irregularity. Prepare reports detailing equipment status, work completed, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Lead, supervise and coordinate tasks with other technicians to ensure efficient workflow. Provide technical guidance and support to technicians as needed.
  • Coordinate maintenance of facilities and equipment, including air compressors, AHU units, air dryers, TNB to MSB to end user, hot and chilled water supply systems, cooling towers, and heat exchangers.
  • Perform general maintenance works such as utilities supply/ factory facilities, mechanical facilities and fabrication. Coordinate maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Responsible to monitor and ensure all electrical installations and practices at the site is comply with statutory and legal requirement. To liaise with Suruhanjaya Tenaga on all regulation requirement pertaining to plant equipment installation.
  • To attend any emergency incidents or major breakdown when required. Respond promptly to electrical and mechanical emergencies and facilities breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Manage facility equipment documentation, licensing arrangements with local authorities, and ensure plant compliance with legal requirements.
  • Efficient operation and maintenance (O&M) M&E equipment and facilities through proper deployment and supervision of the M&E maintenance works.
  • Systematic coordination and documentation in implementing, tracking and reviewing the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) program.
  • Adherence to established SOPs, Manual Standards and Authorities’ compliance and safety requirements. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Oversee all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) equipment and installation and ensure all are in good and proper working order based on maintenance plan.
  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical fault circuit/system and provide recommendation to minimize re-occurrence or long term solution.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of low voltage electrical systems, including distribution boards, switchgear, motors, lighting, and control circuits. Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults using diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and installations.
  • Supervise and coordinate tasks with other technicians to ensure efficient workflow. Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians as needed.
