Landscape Architect

1)Creating plans, designs and drawings of built and natural environments using computer-aided design programs 2)Analyzing complex environmental reports and using the knowledge gained in designs/plans. 3)Consider environmental factors, such as energy availability 4)Advising out environmental impact assessments 5)Monitoring progress to make sure a landscape is taking shape properly 6)Drawing up contracts 7)Overseeing the tendering process for contractors 8)Doing landscape and visual impact assessments 9)Making sure that changes to the natural environment are appropriate, sensitive and sustainable 10)Meet with clients, engineers, and building architects to understand the requirements of a project 11)Prepare site plans, specifications, and cost estimates 12)Coordinate the arrangement of existing and proposed land features and structures 13)Prepare graphic representations of plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software 14)Using software and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create models of landscape plans and create report 15)Select appropriate landscaping materials 16)Analyze environmental reports on land conditions, such as drainage and energy usage 17)Inspect landscape project progress to ensure that it adheres to plans
