Job Description: To provide application enhancement for Banking open-source systems. To perform problem investigation - problem identification, root cause analysis, solution definition, development, and implementation. To understand the system design and provide impact analysis to any changes. To perform enhancement and defect fixing at code level. To perform source code scanning (Veracode), VA fix and pentest fix. To manage system risks and conjure improvements to mitigate and manage risks. To attend user discussion and analyse user requirement or modification requirements based on Project or Change request. Prepare document in detail the functional and technical specification and other necessary documents according to SDM. Vendor coordination, perform testing (unit testing, SIT) as well as UAT and cutover coordination. Perform knowledge transfer to PSS for enhancement release. Perform Level 3 production support. To involve in tech refresh projects. Requirement/Qualification [Unix/Linix, Java] Minimum 4 years of strong application technical knowledge in Java. Knowledge on Unix/Linux, Oracle, MQ, JBoss. Experienced working on Tech Refresh projects - migrate existing applications from obsolete platforms (e.g. obsolete server hardware, OS, DB versions) to newer versions. Hands on experience with any scripting languages – Unix shell script and windows batch scripting. Experience in Connect Direct and using Job Scheduling tool like Control-M. Ability to independently identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues from both technical as well as functional perspective. Experience in Banking IT environment will be a plus. Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical thinking with effective problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Good teamwork and collaboration
