- Establish safety policy and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations. - Maintain records of accidents and injuries, and submit reports to DOSH where required. - Facilitate visiting of government officers while carrying out their duty. - Supervise housekeeping task of the yard surrounding. - Conduct and attend safety meetings, safety committee meeting & HSE audit. - Perform periodic hazard and risk identification, assessment & control through periodic safety audit & inspection of building, workshops, container yard and other facilities. - Monitor speeding of vehicle movement & operations. - To conduct in-house safe driver training to new driver, current driver & office staff. - To audit all branches & ensure safe working condition at workshop & yard. - Recommend relevant corrective & preventive measure relating to health, safety & environment matters. - Support the development of OHS policies and programs. - Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures. - Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation. - Record and investigate incidents of truck to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims. - Prepare reports on accidents occurred. - Any others ad hoc task, duties, projects & activities as assigned by superior Requirements: - Minimum Yellow book holder and 2 years’ experience as safety officer - Certificated as Competent person in Environmental Professional Scheduled Waste (CePSWaM) - Knowledge in OHSAS regulations - Knowledge in ISO safety requirements
