Job Description: As an International Ocean Freight Manager, you shall responsible to develop and grow entire LBL freight team revenue to exceed yearly freight revenue target. Leading, manage and control LBL Freight customer service performance to exceed customer expectations. Develop overseas and domestics network business partners to achieve sustainable growth of LBL freight services as per budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Freight Customer Service Excellence:
- Manage and control the Freight customer service team to provide quality customer services for freight forwarding services to the internal and external customer that exceeding customer requirements
- Competitive Freight Rate and Sourcing:
- Develop and provide fast and competitive sea/air freight services including rates to LBL customers in fulfilling the customer requirements for their utmost satisfaction.
- Establish effective engagement with major liner, NVOCC and overseas network agency for international services.
- Experience with leadership, coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback to freight team members to enhance overall performance. Work and drive freight team under pressure and sustaining demanding work environments with positive mindset. High attribute in urgency for meeting task deadline.
- Revenue and GP Performance:
- To exceed freight department yearly revenue and gross profit budget via growing strong customer relationship.
- Accountable for on time closing freight job invoices and costing in ensuring the profitability and sustainability of the business.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics/Transportation/CILT/Business Admin/Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of customer service, ocean pricing service experience in freight forwarding. Receive high acknowledgement and complement from customers and employers on job commitments.
- Communication & Freight business winning skills:
- Strong communication in Mandarin (preferably but not compulsory), English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to research, identify, tackle, grow and close business opportunities ensuring the needed support from product and operations
- Professional Skills:
- Extensive experience liaising closely with port authorities and customs - Preferably have good experience in all major ports in Malaysia: Port Klang, PTP (Tanjung Pelepas) Johor and Pasir Gudang port.
- A strong customer focus and with a strong team ethic.
4. Tech-Savvy:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Logistics ERP system. Experience working with local port system.
5. Must possess own transportation vehicle and willing to travel as and when required for Central and Johor.
