The Logistic Executive will be responsible for managing daily logistics operations within the retail industry, including overseeing the import and export processes, shipment forwarding, and ensuring compliance with customs and international trade regulations. The role involves coordinating the movement of goods, managing related documentation, and optimizing logistics processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This opening will also give the opportunity to the applicant to build up a new department in the field of logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Import & Export Management:
- Manage all aspects of import and export operations, including preparing necessary documents such as bills and commercial invoices.
- Liaise with customs authorities to ensure the smooth clearance of goods and compliance with regulations.
- Handle the payment of customs duties and taxes, and resolve any customs-related issues as they arise.
- Prepare shipping documents.
- Well versed in custom forms ie , K1 documents and related documentations.
2. Shipment & Forwarding Coordination:
- Coordinate the shipment of goods from suppliers to agent or company warehouses and branches.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.
- Handle and manage forwarding documentation and ensure compliance with international shipping and transportation procedures.
- Oversee inventory management and stock organization.
- Negotiate with service providers to secure competitive rates and quality services.
- Communicate with our partners in China on shipment and delivery issues.
3. Compliance & Regulation:
- Ensure all logistics and shipment operations comply with international and local laws, including safety and quality regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in trade regulations, import/export laws, and transportation guidelines.
4. Problem-Solving & Reporting:
- Address and resolve any issues related to delayed shipments, damaged goods, or documentation discrepancies.
- Provide regular reports on the status of shipments, inventory, and logistics costs to senior management.
- Coordination and execute logistics operation, import and export shipments
- Candidates must possess at least bachelor's degree in any field (preferable Supply Chain Management / Logistics related) or related certifications.
- Outgoing candidate with good communication skills;
- More than 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or retail operations.
