Candidates should have: • Bachelor or equivalent in related disciplines • Strong interest and expertise in teaching, research and be involved in scholarly activities. Related disciplines include: • Anatomy As a Specialist I, your duties and responsibilities shall be as follows: 1. Publish at least one (1) National/International Professional Work/Creative Work/ Publication / Awards of significance in two (2) years and one (1) paper in reputed International Conference Proceedings per year. Patent may be accepted as a substitute for each paper but must be of exceptional quality and merit as judged by international experts from abroad. The journals, proceedings, materials or patents that meet the acceptable international standard shall be decided by the University’s management at its sole and absolute discretion; 2. Achieve at least above average grades (a minimum of 3.0 out of 5.0 in UTAR teaching scale) in all teaching evaluations for courses taught at UTAR when required to; 3. Register for Master’s/PhD studies within six (6) months or register as a Professional Member of a Professional Body or equivalent; 4. Secure at least one (1) Internal Research & Development grant and one (1) consultancy project per year; 5. Good progress in research and development; 6. Serve as an active member in technical team in the field of study/research; 7. Demonstrate recognition of your expertise either through industrial consultation or invitation to international meetings / conferences as a resource person; 8. Demonstrate satisfactory administrative work when required; and 9. Any other duties as assigned by the Faculty and the University.
