Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist in sourcing and purchasing construction materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements. 2. Maintain an up-to-date database of suppliers and products available in the market. 3. Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and place purchase orders. 4. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable service and quality materials. 5. Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget specifications. 6. Monitor order status and delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of materials. 7. Track inventory levels and report on stock availability, ensuring materials are ordered in a timely manner to avoid project delays. 8. Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and maintain proper documentation. 9. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications. 10. Support cost-saving initiatives by monitoring expenditures and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements. 11. Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to understand procurement needs and priorities. 12. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations related to procurement processes. 13. Assist in assessing supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements. 14. Provide support during project meetings regarding procurement requirements and status updates. 15. Assist in preparing and maintaining the procurement budget. 16. Prepare reports on procurement metrics and assist in analyzing procurement data for decision-making. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field. 2. Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or procurement support, preferably in the construction industry. 3. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). 4. Familiarity with construction materials and services is an advantage.
