Kindergarten Teaching Assistant

The Kindergarten Teaching Assistant will support the lead teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for young learners. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, providing individualized attention to students, and fostering a nurturing atmosphere conducive to early childhood development. Job Responsibilities Classroom Support: • Assist the lead teacher in preparing and organizing classroom materials and resources. • Support the implementation of age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Student Interaction: • Provide individualized attention to students, offering guidance and support as needed. • Assist with student transitions and ensure a safe and orderly environment. • Encourage positive social interactions among students. Assessment and Documentation: • Assist in observing and assessing student progress. • Maintain records of student performance and participation. • Collaborate with the KG homeroom teacher (lead teacher) in documenting achievements and areas for improvement. Communication: • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. • Collaborate with the lead teacher to relay information about student progress and behavior. Classroom Management: • Support the implementation of classroom rules and routines. • Assist with behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment. Job Requirements: • High school diploma, Early Childhood education or equivalent; • Previous experience working with young children preferred. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Patience, flexibility, and a passion for fostering the development of young learners.
