Performing Arts Teacher (Petaling Jaya)

Job Description: • The candidate will be required to plan lessons and deliver them to Primary / Secondary (inclusive of IGCSE) students following the syllabus. • Conduct assessments and evaluate the learning progress of students to help them improve and grow, according to the scheme of work. • Keep up-to-date with the latest teaching methodologies, lesson ideas and new technology to improve the quality of teaching and learning in school. • To oversees and assist with lessons, rehearsals, performances, activities etc, ensuring the activities are planned, ordered and effective. • Singing, acting, choreographs, practicing required dance routines. • Oversees and monitors the delivery of the drama curriculum and supports and ensure the efficient executions of performances. • Participate in non-academic related activities, such as school-wide events, festival celebrations, gatherings, etc. • To spearhead and lead performing Arts lessons and events including Year- End Concerts, Awards Day Ceremonies, and other important school events, which incorporates the use of Performing Arts. Job Requirements: • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/ Bachelor Degree / Master's Degree in Performing Arts or equivalent. • At least 2 years of working experience as a Performing Arts Teacher in primary school and secondary school. • PC literate and able to use multi-media resources in the classroom. • Excellent proficiency in English both spoken and written. Other languages an additional plus point. • Passionate about education, patient, willing to learn, adaptable & loves learning/teaching . • Highly responsible, dedicated, hardworking and a team-player. • Applicants must be willing to work in Petaling Jaya.
