JOB PURPOSE Prepare or lead (if any) quality engineering deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery in supporting MMHE’s businesses. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ MAJOR TASKS ENGINEERING FABRICATION •Produce quality-engineering deliverables and support lead engineer to prepare progress report. BIDDING AND ESTIMATING •Prepare and check bidding Material Take Off (if required), Yard Layout, Erection Sequence and Load-out Scheme in compliance to the Client’s standards and requirements. MATERIAL MANAGEMENT •Prepare and check Bill of Material (BOM) and technical bid evaluation (TBE) to ensure accuracy and timeliness in order to meet project target. SYSTEM AND PROCESS •Prepare and check analysis calculations, procedures, material requisition (MR) and site technical query (STQ) to ensure accuracy and timeliness in order to meet clients’ specifications •Review fabrication shop drawings, as-built and cutting plan as per project requirement. •Prepare Revision Notice (RN) and Material Change Notice (MCN) to ensure accuracy and timeliness in order to meet projects’ specification. •Prepare Standard Guideline (SG) and Specific procedure (SP) to improve department process SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB •Changing mind-set and adopting changes / ideas at various levels in a highly laborious/demanding work environment. •Uncertain owners’ specifications with regards to Scope of Work •Incomplete / inadequate contract(s) that makes it difficult to produce complete designs. •Keeping pace with new technology of offshore structural engineering.
