Job Overview:

The Hostess at Ministry of Crab (MOC) Kuala Lumpur will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they enters the restaurant. This role requires a warm and professional demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage reservations and seating to ensure an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate will be a brand ambassador, enhancing the overall guest experience in a fine dining environment.

Key Responsibilities: **

1) Guest Welcome & Seating Management

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, confirming reservations and guiding them to their seat.
• Manage the seating chart and reservations to maximize table utilization while ensuring smooth service flow
• Communicate guest arrival to the FOH team and coordinate with servers to maintain a seamless guest experience
• Address any specific seating preferences or needs, including special accommodation for VIP guests .

2) Reservation Coordination **

• Handle reservations through phone, email, and online platforms, providing accurate information on availability and dining hours
• Confirm and organize reservations, maintaining up-to-date records of booking and walk-in
• Assist in managing the waitlist, giving guests accurate wait time estimates and offering seating options if possible

3) Brand Representation & Guest Experience * *

• Serve as a brand ambassador by embodying MOC’s hospitality values, creating a positive first impression
• Assist guests with information about MOC’s concept, menu highlights, and any special offering or promotion
• Answer guest inquiries, assist with special requests, and handle concerns with professionalism and discretion

4) FOH Support & Team Collaboration **

• Assist FOH staff with minor tasks as needed, such as resetting tables, organizing menus, and maintaining cleanliness in the reception area
• Communicate effectively with servers, bar staff, and managers to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
• Maintain a clean, organize and welcoming area, aligning with MOC’s brand presentation standards

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a hostess or reception role, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a welcoming and approachable demeanor
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage reservations and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in using reservation systems, POS software, and basic computer skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per restaurant needs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,100.00 per month

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Restaurant Management: 3 years (Preferred)
