We have an Immediate Openings for SENIOR IT PROCUREMENT & SOURCING SPECIALIST with our reputed Client.
Work Location: Malaysia
Exp: 5+ years
Key Responsibilities:
· Engage Strategic Sourcing to understand market research around identified potential suppliers and negotiating favorable terms
· Evaluate and manage vendor partnerships (RFX) including procurement planning, tendering, submission reviews, evaluation methodologies, commercial negotiation, summary on a page generation and contracting for high value or risk contracts in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders.
· Leverage data analytics and strategic sourcing principles to assess factors including pricing analysis, commercial modelling and quality, risk, reliability, long-term compatibility and the intangible value of partnering with vendors
· Provide procurement guidance on vendor selection including liaising with key internal departments, eg. Legal, Finance, Security, in relation to review requests and identified risks or policy exceptions.
· Direct procurement negotiation based on business requirements
· Set contract approach and negotiation parameters
· Raise contract approval request to relevant business stakeholders and executives, work with Buyer to raise PO and appropriate on-charges
· Document business information around spend and impacts on markets / stores as necessary
· Drive proactive business and stakeholder engagement for existing and upcoming procurement work packages
· Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships and feedback mechanisms with internal and external clients, vendors, and staff to represent IT Procurement and Partnerships and ensure responsiveness to current and future needs.
· Evaluate vendor capabilities and performance to ensure they meet our organisation’s needs
· Work collaboratively with suppliers
· Administer contracts and manage contract lifecycle in collaboration with business stakeholders
· Ensure contracts are well-drafted and in line with standard DPE position for compliance and business risk management.
· Maximise value of engagements for DPE including identifying cost savings and efficiency improvements in procurement activities
· Contribute effectively to all aspects of, and where appropriate lead, vendor negotiations including commercial and contract negotiation.
· Manage the contractual relationship
· Provide end to end contractual control
· Maintain efficient records management practices utilising appropriate tools.
· Assist in dispute resolution with internal and external clients, vendors, and staff.
· Drive process improvement within the team and with stakeholders
· Assist in mentoring, resolving questions and review for team members
Required Qualifications:
· Drive to achieve outcomes
· 5+ years procurement and contract experience within IT Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) procurement
· Extensive knowledge of commercial contracting legal risk issues, including issues relevant to software and SaaS agreements and other IT product and service supply agreements.
· Extensive knowledge of procurement policy and procedures as they apply to IT procurement
· Ability to undertake risk management in relation to IT procurement
· Extensive knowledge of effective contract and supplier management approaches and commercial negotiation techniques.
· Strong experience developing and negotiation IT contracts, including experience independently assessing supplier terms and drafting appropriate amendments to template terms, in line with appropriate internal review requirements.
· Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated negotiation abilities.
· Ability to priorities own workload, work independently as well as part of a team, to achieve outcomes.
· Tertiary Certificate/Degree qualification
o Preferably in Information Technology, Law, Commerce or Business
· Previous experience in utilizing the Atlassian suite
· Previous experience in commercial negotiation
· Previous experience leading a team
· Have a strong understanding of financial processes (e.g. accounts payable, accounts receivable etc)
· Positive and proactive approach to deliver on business outcomes
· Patient and diplomatic
· Inquisitive in nature
· Ability to guide team to achieve results
· Willingness to mentor team, suggest improvements and resolve disputes
