Responsibilities
- Perform all the necessary steps and checks in accordance with the Internal Control System requirements (ICS)
- Prepare and maintain the fixed assets data/ register for Local Services.
- Process fixed asset transaction (capitalization, transfer, write-off/ disposal, impairment and workflow request).
- Perform month end task (monitor depreciation run and project settlement run, identifying, checking & correcting validation errors)
- Ensure all monthly closing tasks are completed and FA module is closed on time.
- Prepare monthly fixed asset movement report for both group and local – reconciliation of down payment, reconciliation of clearing account for acquisition and disposal, reconciliation of balance sheet and asset history sheet.
- Handle leasing task (IFRS16)
- Assist in trouble shooting, decision making, identification and communication of potential issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Review and update the working instruction/standard operating procedures. 11. Conduct the activities in Runbook and to ensure the activities are performed within the set timeline and ensure the Internal Control System (ICS) documentation is in place.
- Supporting Local Services in terms of internal and external audit.
- Ensure complete fixed assets records and details are kept for audit purposes.
- Perform all the necessary steps and checks in accordance with the Internal Control System (ICS) requirements
- Provide support and service requests from Local Services in a timely manner.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationship with Local Services and Center of Excellence.
- Assist with requests by internal and/or external auditors.
- Undertake any other assignments/ projects that may be assigned from time to time.
- Holds a bachelor’s degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience.
- Good verbal & written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with Fixed Asset process and IFRS16 is an added advantage.
- Computer literate and have experience working in SAP or other major ERP system’s work environment would be an added advantage .
- A team player, meticulous, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Exposure to shared services environment would be preferred
- Candidates assigned to support the EMEA regions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
