Responsibilities and Duties - The Senior Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the execution of the daily Mechanical maintenance activities at the Power Station, including scheduled maintenance activities. - Supports the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to ensure proper execution and effective maintenance of the Power Station, considering maintenance requirements, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Contract, commercial aspects and in accordance with safety, environmental and legal regulations. - Execution of the daily Mechanical maintenance activities at the Power Station ensuring that they are carried out as scheduled, and that a history of details of work carried out is recorded in the SAP. - Execution of daily unscheduled Mechanical maintenance activities including investigation of defects, analysis and rectification. - Providing the appropriate guidance to Maintenance Technicians in carrying out plant maintenance work. - Support Mechanical maintenance supervisor in the execution of approved plant improvement projects. - Maintain a high safety conscious working environment and ensure compliance with all company and legislative Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements. - Periodic inspection and review of tools including reporting of defective tools. - Maintain good relations within the team and work with other members of the team to maintain good relations with the Client and other parties. - Comply with all applicable SHEQ legal requirements and our stakeholders’ specifications by establishing policies, programmes and practices in order to conduct operations in a healthy, safe and environmentally sound manner with safety first, quality foremost & pursuing excellence. - To perform other additional tasks that are relevant and necessary to accomplish the company overall objectives, which may be assigned from time to time. Job Requirements 1. Minimum Education Qualification required: - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. 2. Minimum Mandatory Competency (License) required: - Authorised Entrant & Standby Person for Confined Space (AESP). Competent Scaffolder Level 1 (CSL1) Working Experiences and Skills - 5 years working experience. - Sound technical knowledge of the maintenance of Mechanical equipment and systems in the power generation sector but Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing. - Ability to maintain work schedules and uphold work standards. Computer literate. - Knowledge in Microsoft Office and experience of SAP. - Capable of working with minimal supervision.candidates from Refineries, Paper Mills or other sources of power generation will be considered. - Experience in equipment operating: forklift overhead crane, etc. are plus. Note: This is a Fixed Term Contract role.
