We seek a new colleague with teaching interests in accounting. The successful applicant should be comfortable teaching undergraduate students. RESPONSIBILITIES  As the Program Leader, he/she is responsible for the overall coherence, delivery, planning, evaluation and enhancement of an academic program. The role should model the AMC University College's values which require collaborative working with a range of colleagues and students.  Provide a stimulating learning environment with insights from research or practice.  Contribute effectively to University College wide developments and innovation in the design and delivery of teaching.  Includes designing units of study and their assessment regimes, identifying learning objectives and teaching methods, developing materials and resources, including materials for use online, communicating subject matter clearly and encouraging debate.  Provide appropriate responses to student interventions during teaching, responding to questions within and outside class times and react proactively and positively to changes in course content or delivery.  Design, implement and evaluate teaching and learning packages, participate in the development and revision of the curriculum.  Design, implement and evaluate assessment tools and criteria for courses, mark assessments, ensuring adequate moderation, providing written or oral feedback as appropriate.  Mark final assessments as required.  Engage pro-actively in on-going professional development both in own subject and in teaching and learning.  May include involvement in professional or teaching and learning networks within and outside the University.  Take a role in program evaluation, including facilitating student feedback, reflecting on own teaching design and delivery and implementing ideas for improving own performance.  Ability to take full responsibility for the design, delivery and co-ordination of teaching program(s)  Carry out teaching-related management duties or other duties as allocated by the Head of Department. REQUIREMENTS • Possess a Masters Degree in Accounting from a recognized university, with additional professional qualification preferred. • At least 5 years of teaching experience. • Demonstrated links to relevant external organizations and/or the profession. • Experience working in higher education environment and a track record of teaching and coaching experience, and experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning. • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written.
