Role Specific: Teach Physical Education to children in the range of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) to Year 11, ensuring that the curriculum aligns with the development stages of the students. Foster a positive and inclusive environment for physical education that accommodates the diverse abilities and needs of all students, including those with special requirements. Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum that promotes physical fitness, motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Encourage students to participate in a variety of physical activities, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. Organise and oversee sporting events, competitions, and tournaments within the school, helping to create a culture of competitiveness and sportsmanship. Identify and nurture students' athletic talents and interests, providing opportunities for them to excel in various sports. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education into co-curricular activities, emphasising the importance of physical health and well-being. Participate in coaching and mentoring students in various sports teams, helping them to develop their skills and reach their full potential. Promote an understanding of the benefits of sports and physical activity, both within the school community and beyond, including through community engagement and partnerships. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: A degree in Physical Education, or a related field. Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching. Willingness to work outside of conventional school hours to lead sporting events. Desirable Experience working in a UK school or British-curriculum international school. Proven experience teaching PE at both Primary & Secondary levels. Ability to offer swimming instruction. Experience organising school-hosted sports events Experience in delivering outstanding results at GCSE or IGCSE Physical Education SRI KDU teachers: Are skilled and effective users of assessment for supporting and developing learning. Use a range of assessment strategies and data to inform their appraisal of students’ progress, which aids their planning, and reporting of student progress and to design appropriate intervention and support. Appreciate the different perspectives and beliefs of people from different countries, cultures, religions and languages. Show politeness, respect, kindness and concern. Promote these values so that they permeate every aspect of the school. Recognise the importance of developing our students to be ethical global citizens. Want each pupil to develop a sense of self-worth, knowing the difference between right and wrong and doing the right thing when it comes to making choices.
