Retail Application Support:- Provide first-line support for retail-specific applications, including POS systems, inventory management systems, and CRM software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by retail outlets, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to outlets’ operations.
- Assist in system configuration, software updates, and user access management for retail applications.
Data and Report Management:- Collaborate with the Business Analyst to gather and validate sales, inventory, and customer data from retail systems.
- Assist in the preparation of operational and performance reports for store management, sales analysis, stock turnover, and marketing initiatives.
- Utilize reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL) to create customized reports that provide insights into sales trends, inventory levels, and customer behavior.
System Improvement Support:- Participate in testing and deployment of system updates or new modules, ensuring that all retail-specific functionalities are tested and validated.
- Assist in documenting new processes, workflows, and technical procedures for retails outlets and HQ systems.
Collaboration & Communication:- Work closely with the retails outlets and HQ to understand system needs and provide technical solutions that align with business goals.
- Coordinate with external vendors or service providers for third-party retail software support and integration tasks.
- Maintain effective communication channels with retail outlets, providing timely updates on system changes and support requests.
Documentation and Record Keeping:- Maintain logs of system issues, resolutions, and updates using the organization’s ticketing or helpdesk system.
- Assist in maintaining and updating technical documentation, including user manuals, process guidelines, and troubleshooting FAQs for retail systems.
The IT Reporting Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the System Support Business Analyst by ensuring the smooth operation of business-critical applications related to retail management, inventory, and customer relationship systems. This role focuses on providing application support and assisting with the preparation of reports that drive business insights.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in IT support, preferably within the retail sector (optical or similar industries is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with retail software systems such as POS, inventory management, and CRM platforms.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with non-technical retail staff.
- Analytical skills to identify patterns and trends from data.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.
