R&D Manager (Ready-to-Drink)
We are looking for a R&D Manager specializing in Ready-to-Drink (RTD) products to responsible for developing innovative, high-quality RTD beverage formulations that align with market trends, consumer demands, and SW Group’s goals. In this position, you will be managing the product development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and optimizing production processes for scalability and efficiency. You will need to work closely with other functions such as Sales & Marketing and business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the overall project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction for the R&D function, ensuring alignment with SW Group’s goals
- Drive and oversee product development, quality improvement, and process optimization
- Drive and oversee R&D projects, including timeline, budget, and resource allocation, to commercialise new product launches
- Research emerging trends, ingredients, and technologies in the beverage industry to maintain a competitive edge
- Ensure all formulations comply with local and international food safety, labeling, and regulatory standards
- Oversee and monitor the collaboration with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturing partners to source materials and production equipment for new product launches
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences to guide product development strategies
- Collaborate with marketing teams to understand target demographics and incorporate consumer needs into product designs
- Lead and provide mentorship, guidance, and training to ensure professional growth and high team performance
- Stay abreast of relevant emerging technologies and industry trends
- Address ad-hoc tasks given by direct superior as needed to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master's Degree in a relevant field such as Food Science, Chemistry, or Innovation Management
- Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience in a leadership role overseeing innovation and R&D (preferably in FMCG industry)
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully bringing innovative products to market
- Excellent knowledge of intellectual property laws and practices
- Strategic thinking and the ability to align innovation initiatives with business objectives
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
