MECHANIC (Excavator, Lorry, Van, Car)

Key Responsibilities: - Repair and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment, including cars, vans, and lorries. - Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems efficiently. - Parts Replacement: Replace faulty parts with new or refurbished ones and ensure all components meet safety and performance standards. - Preventative Maintenance: Carry out regular inspections and maintenance to prevent future breakdowns. - Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and inspections performed. - Tool Management: Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stored properly. - Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. - Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients regarding the status of their vehicles or equipment, including explaining repairs and providing cost estimates. Qualifications: - Experience: Previous experience as a mechanic with a focus on repairing cars, vans, lorries, and other heavy equipment. - Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic tools and mechanical equipment. - Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive systems, engines, and repair techniques. - License: A valid driving license is preferred. - Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting heavy parts and working in tight spaces.
