Job Description

We are looking for a talent who commits to contribute his/her talent to the team and develop his/her career together with Western Digital. The role is encouraged to evolve rapidly through experience of a fast-paced multinational environment, dynamic business initiatives and continuous process improvement & automation.

As the Director of Global COE, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end processes within COE. You will lead a team to optimize workflows, ensure compliance with organizational policies, and collaborate with stakeholders to guarantee the on-time delivery of quality services. A focus on process automation, operational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration will be key to success in this role. This role will manage a team of approximately 15 accountants, with 3 direct reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement the overall strategy and vision for the COE, aligning with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead the COE team in delivering high-quality financial and accounting services, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics to the team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate processing of transactions, maintaining adherence to internal controls, compliance standards, and legal requirements.
  • Implement and manage standardized processes, procedures, and systems to ensure efficiency, quality, and data integrity across the COE.
  • Monitor service delivery performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team of professionals, ensuring a positive work environment and fostering career development opportunities.
  • Implement training programs to upskill staff and improve competencies in key areas, including technology, compliance, and service excellence.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and digital transformation within the COE to optimize service delivery and reduce costs.
  • Oversee the implementation of new technologies, tools, and systems, ensuring smooth integration and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the use of data analytics to inform decision-making and process enhancements.
  • Act as a key point of contact for business units, ensuring effective communication and service delivery that meets the needs of internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments and business units to understand requirements, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with company objectives.

Qualifications


REQUIRED :

  • Master/Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration.

SKILLS :

  • Oversee the daily operations of the COE, including General Ledger (GL), Intercompany, Close and Consolidation, Revenue Accounting, and APAC S&S countries local stat accounting etc.
