Position Overview:

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial health and operational efficiency of LOL Asia, supporting the company’s growth across multiple projects and countries. This individual will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, optimizing cost control, and evaluating investment opportunities to support strategic goals. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Finance Manager will ensure LOL Asia’s financial resources are effectively managed, providing insights and guidance on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations Management
  • Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital to maintain financial stability across LOL Asia’s expanding portfolio of projects.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, analyzing performance against budget and providing insights to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate records and implement best practices for financial data management.
  • Investment Analysis and Financial Planning
  • Analyze potential investment opportunities to assess ROI and alignment with LOL Asia’s strategic objectives, providing detailed financial evaluations to support executive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with management to develop budgets and financial projections for new projects, tours, festivals, and other key initiatives.
  • Track and analyze key financial metrics to ensure investments are generating the desired returns and align with long-term business goals.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and financial modeling to identify risks and opportunities for various projects and markets.
  • Cost Control and Budget Management
  • Develop and enforce cost-control policies and procedures to optimize spending across all projects and countries.
  • Work with project managers and departmental leads to set realistic budgets, monitor expenses, and identify areas for cost savings.
  • Review and approve project budgets, ensuring that resource allocation supports project timelines and financial targets.
  • Conduct regular audits and variance analysis to ensure expenses align with budgets and to address discrepancies proactively.
  • Cross-Border Financial Coordination
  • Oversee financial operations across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local financial regulations and tax requirements.
  • Liaise with local accounting firms and tax consultants to support international financial operations, including tax planning, reporting, and compliance.
  • Standardize financial processes and reporting across regions, ensuring consistent practices and alignment with LOL Asia’s financial goals.
  • Strategic Financial Advisory
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic planning, business growth, and operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, economic shifts, and regulatory changes to inform LOL Asia’s financial strategy and risk management.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of the finance function as LOL Asia grows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or CFA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, ideally within the entertainment, events, or multi-national industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, investment evaluation, and cost management.
  • Experience managing financial operations across multiple regions and familiarity with international financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with a proactive and strategic mindset.
  • Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Financial Reporting: 100% accuracy in reports, submitted on time.
  • Cash Flow: Maintain positive cash flow and liquidity.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Keep project costs within ±5% of the budget. Achieve 10% annual cost savings.
  • Investments: Ensure ROI of at least 15% on approved investments.
  • Compliance: 100% regulatory compliance across countries.
  • Process Improvement: Implement 2 major process improvements annually.
  • Strategic Insights: Provide insights leading to 3 key business decisions per year.

Employment Terms- Salary:

  • Competitive, based on experience and industry standards.
  • Performance Bonus: Based on achievement of financial accuracy, cost control, investment ROI, and compliance targets.
  • Contract Term: Full-time, with an initial term of one year, renewable based on performance.
  • Travel: Occasional travel within Southeast Asia as required for cross-border financial operations and vendor management.
