RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Menu Planning & Development

  • Design and create dessert and pastry menus based on event themes.
  • Develop new recipes and ensure variety in offerings.

2. Preparation & Production

  • Prepare cakes, pastries, cookies, and other desserts.
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Follow portion sizes and production schedules.

3. Decoration & Presentation

  • Decorate pastries and desserts to meet event standards.
  • Ensure desserts are visually appealing for buffets or displays.

4. Inventory & Supply Management

  • Manage inventory of baking supplies and ingredients.
  • Order ingredients and ensure freshness.

5. Food Safety & Hygiene

  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations and equipment.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards.

7. Team Collaboration

  • Work with chefs, servers, and catering staff.
  • Assist in training junior staff when needed.

8. Post-Event Duties

  • Ensure leftover items are stored or discarded properly.
  • Clean and organize pastry kitchen equipment.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Relevant educational background in baking and pastry or culinary arts.
  • Passion for producing high quality of pastry products - cakes & desserts.
  • Awareness of trending products in the baking, pastry, and beverage markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of ingredient usage and characteristics.
  • Excellent organizational ,time management skills and good communication skills
