  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Hype.my (Hype Malaysia) is Malaysia’s leading entertainment, celebrity, lifestyle and viral news portal under Lowyat Media Group.

We are on the hunt for talented undergraduates to fill the position of Writing Intern for a minimum period of 3 months.

Your Job Responsibilities:

  • You will work as part of the Hype editorial team to grow the portal and its social media platforms.
  • You will create daily multimedia content for the portal and its social media platforms.
  • You will regularly attend and provide coverage for various external lifestyle events – from product launches to fashion shows, restaurant openings to concerts.

Your Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Your have EXCELLENT command of the English language.
  • You are creative, able to think and communicate with clarity, and have strong writing skills.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and are able to work both independently and in a team.
  • You consume, and are able to contextualize viral news on celebrities, entertainment, youth culture, lifestyle, fashion, food & drink, and travel fads.
  • You love the internet and digital content, and you keep up with current affairs and social media trends.
  • You have no issues with covering external events, and socialising as part of your job.

NOTE: You will receive a monthly allowance and may claim a set amount for transport expenses.
