- Construction managers plan, direct and coordinate the construction of civil engineering projects, buildings and infrastructure works, either as the manager of a department or as the general manager of an enterprise or organization that does not have a hierarchy of managers.
- Tasks include –
- Interpreting structure, architectural and interior design drawings and specifications;
- Coordinating labour resources and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment;
- Negotiating with building owners, property developers and subcontractors involved in the construction process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget;
- Operating and implementing coordinated work programmes for sites;
- Ensuring adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety;
- Building under contract, or subcontracting specialized building services;
- Overseeing the selection, training and performance of staff and subcontractors.
- To lead in Client Consultant Meetings, Technical Meetings & Site Meetings.
- Responsible for all project activities to ensure compliance to the project drawings & specifications, work schedule, safety and relevant requirements.
- To provide reporting & updates to superior and Management.
- Undertake all other duties, task and responsibilities as required by the superior & Management from time to time.
- Have full cycle of project experience in residential and commercial projects.
- Able to manage project independently with minimum supervision.
- Bachelor Degree in Civil & Structural/ Mechanical & Electrical/ Architecture or related discipline with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in property development
- Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (English is a must).
- Proficient in MS Office applications with good report writing skills.
- Proactive and ability to work in fast pace environment meeting tight project deadline.
- Strong analytical skill and detail oriented.
- Good project management skills with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities for maximum delivery result.
- Proven leadership and problem solving skill in projects.
