Instructional Designer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop courses and curriculum tailored to learning objectives.
• Create and revise online learning materials to enhance educational content.
• Develop engaging learning experiences and environments that promote student engagement.
• Design and implement learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
• Build and storyboard computer-based training (CBT) modules.
• Develop comprehensive instructor manuals, rubrics, and other instructional resources.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create course content.
• Manage and facilitate online learning communities to foster engagement and support.
• Regularly analyze, update, and improve existing online content to ensure relevance.
• Provide training for instructors, students, and employees on using learning technologies.
• Facilitate discussions and collaborative efforts through social media platforms.
• Stay updated on current best practices in instructional design to enhance course delivery.

Requirements & Skills:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in instructional design and working with educational technologies.
• At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in instructional design within a higher education environment.
• Strong understanding of learning theories and instructional design models.
• Skills in lesson and curriculum planning.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and Flash programming.
• Proficiency in visual design tools such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Ability to create clear instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
• In-depth knowledge of learning theories and effective instructional design practices.
• Familiarity with course development software and at least one Learning Management System (LMS).
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
