Role and Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Design and develop a comprehensive curriculum for ICT and Robotics, covering foundational and advanced topics.
- Instruction: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in ICT and Robotics, introducing students to key concepts such as hardware and software integration and problem-solving.
- Practical Applications: Incorporate hands-on learning experiences by engaging students in building and programming robots. Use project-based learning to enable students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical tasks.
- Technology Integration: Demonstrate how technology can be integrated into the classroom to enhance learning.
- Digital Literacy: Teach students the fundamentals of digital literacy, including safe and responsible use of technology.
- Assessment and Grading: Evaluate students’ progress through various assessments, including coding projects, robotics challenges, quizzes, practical assignments, and group work. Provide constructive feedback and assign grades based on clear, well-defined criteria to help students develop their technical skills.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and collaborative classroom environment where students feel comfortable experimenting with technology.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with advancements in ICT and robotics education, teaching methodologies, and technological innovations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field (required).
- Previous teaching experience in an international school setting is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of ICT concepts and robotics.
- Familiarity with using technology to enhance learning.
- Knowledge of international curricula is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster a hands-on, inquiry-based learning environment that encourages students to experiment, collaborate, and develop their technical skills.
- Commitment to professional growth and the ability to integrate new teaching practices, technologies, and methodologies in ICT and robotics education.
