IT CHANGE MANAGEMENT & KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER SPECIALIST
Location: Cyberjaya/Putrajaya, Malaysia
Employment Type: Full-Time/ Contract
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Change Management & Knowledge Transfer Specialistto lead initiatives for IT projects in the banking domain, specializing in securities, asset servicing, and custodies. The role involves structuring and preparing IT teams for changes, facilitating seamless knowledge transfer between teams in Malaysia and worldwide, establishing a Knowledge Academy, and managing organizational change to support IT transformation projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge Transfer
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust IT knowledge transfer framework tailored for banking projects in securities, asset servicing, and custodies.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing between IT teams in Malaysia and worldwide, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and hands-on coaching to bridge skill and knowledge gaps across global IT teams.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical guides, and knowledge bases specific to banking IT systems.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge transfer processes and recommend continuous improvements.
Setup of Knowledge Academy
- Develop a Knowledge Academy framework focused on banking IT systems and processes to provide ongoing training and development for IT professionals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Malaysia and global teams to identify training needs, develop curriculum, and ensure alignment with organizational and regulatory goals.
- Implement e-learning platforms, workshops, and certifications to support professional growth in securities, asset servicing, and custody domains.
- Establish governance for the Knowledge Academy, including policies, metrics, and feedback mechanisms to ensure its long-term success.
Change Management
- Lead change management initiatives for banking IT transformation projects, ensuring IT teams are structured and prepared for upcoming changes.
- Develop and implement change management strategies, including stakeholder analysis, communication plans, and training programs tailored for IT teams in banking operations.
- Act as a liaison between IT teams in Malaysia, global teams, and business units to address concerns and foster collaboration.
- Monitor the progress of change initiatives and provide regular updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and banking business units, to drive knowledge and change management goals.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on progress, outcomes, and areas for improvement specific to banking IT projects.
- Build a culture of continuous learning and adaptability across the IT organization.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT knowledge management, training, or change management roles within the banking sector.
- Proven track record in setting up learning or knowledge-sharing platforms and leading organizational change initiatives for securities, asset servicing, or custodies projects.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with IT processes, frameworks, and tools (e.g., ITIL, Agile, Confluence, or SharePoint) in a banking environment.
- Proficiency in e-learning tools and platforms (e.g., Moodle or similar).
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, banking systems, and processes to effectively communicate complex information.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels and across international boundaries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Certifications
- ITIL Certification
- Change Management Certification
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent
- Certifications in banking IT systems or securities operations
