What you'll be doing:
- Develop a long-term space planning strategy to enhance the business’s profitability in terms of space and inventory.
- Propose initiatives to improve the consumer journey, conversion rates, UPTs, GMROM, GMROI, and ITR.
- Plan the fiscal year (FY) space planning budget to meet business requirements while ensuring the required ROI.
- Manage the approved FY budget efficiently and effectively to launch initiatives and implement seasonal changes within the agreed timelines.
- Influence the business’s buying strategy at the category/division level using key productivity metrics.
- Develop seasonal plans to implement changes in alignment with the business and buying strategies.
- Establish and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to increase departmental efficiency.
- Schedule and monitor all ongoing projects.
- Present monthly space and inventory productivity reports to other retail functions, identifying in-season opportunities.
- Hire, coach, and supervise team members to achieve yearly KPIs.
- Collaborate with Central Planning to execute and improve SKU efficiencies.
Who are you:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Business or relevant discipline.
- Proven experience in retail space planning, inventory management, or a similar role.
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity within the retail industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in space and inventory KPIs such as GMROM, GMROI, ITR, and UPT.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools, retail planning software, and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of retail business strategies, budgeting, and ROI analysis.
- Ability to align space and buying strategies with overall business objectives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for delivering reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
