Engineering Section Head

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage the engineering team to ensure the successful execution of projects, maintenance tasks, and continuous improvements in manufacturing processes. Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations. • Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, reduce waste, increase efficiency, and improve product quality using engineering methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement tools. • Project Management: Plan, execute and manage engineering projects related to new equipment, system upgrades, and plant modifications. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for the manufacturing team to resolve complex technical issues and ensure the reliable operation of plant equipment. • Maintenance Management: Oversee preventive maintenance programs for machinery and equipment, ensuring they operate at peak performance levels. Work with maintenance teams to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency. • Capital Investment Planning: Identify and recommend new equipment or technology investments to enhance production capabilities, improve product quality or reduce costs. • Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality control and other departments to ensure seamless coordination between engineering and operations. Participate in cross-functional meetings to support production goals. • Budget Management: Develop and manage the engineering department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and controlling expenditures related to engineering projects and maintenance. • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering department, encouraging team members to identify innovative solutions and contribute to process enhancements. • Reporting: Prepare regular reports for senior management on engineering performance, project status, maintenance schedules, and potential improvements. • May be required to work outside normal hours to address urgent technical issues, projects or maintenance needs.
