As Managing Director (m/f/d) of our Distribution Transformers plant in Nilai, Malaysia, you will be responsible, among other things, for managing the company’s activities by establishing the policy framework and overseeing all financial and administrative operations in alignment with SGB-SMIT Group policies, applicable laws, and the Memorandum of Association. In addition, you will represent the company in all matters before governmental establishments.

These are your tasks:

• Strategic corporate management: Responsible for the plant's overall business operations, including developing and implementing corporate policies that are in line with the SGB-SMIT Group's guidelines, as well as applicable laws and statutes.

• Financial and administrative management: Managing all financial and administrative processes of the company with the aim of ensuring sustainable growth and operational excellence.

• Representation of the company: Representing the company before state authorities and institutions, including negotiating and maintaining relationships with local and national decision-makers.

• Ensuring compliance: Monitoring and ensuring compliance with legal and internal regulations and implementing best practices throughout the company.

• Personnel and organizational development: Leading and developing the management team and fostering a performance-oriented and innovative corporate culture.

• Optimization of business processes: Identifying and implementing efficiency improvement measures to continuously improve quality, productivity and competitiveness.

This is what you bring:

• Internationally experienced business leader with in-depth knowledge of the power sector, ideally with expertise in oil-filled distribution transformers and cast-resin transformers.

• Extensive experience in managing a business with responsibility for the P&L of a business unit, at least 10 years of professional experience in comparable roles.

• Extensive expertise in manufacturing, quality, industrial engineering, procurement, supply chain, logistics (including inbound and outbound transportation), delivery, on-site assembly and commissioning of engineer-to-order products.

• Ability to lead multi-functional and multi-cultural teams, with a focus on professional development of employees and achievement of business goals.

• Experience in labor relations, including negotiations of collective agreements and other labor-related agreements.

• Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
