Packaging Engineer (FMCG Packaging Design/Process )

JOB DETAILS:

Position: Packaging Engineer

Industry: Consumer Health Manufacturing

Working Duration: 12 months contract with PERSOLKELLY (Renewable based on performance)

Working Location: Jalan Tandang, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Working Day/Hours: Monday – Friday; 8.30am to 5.30pm

Salary: Basic RM3,000- RM4,000 (Based on experience + skills) with statutory contribution + leave entitlement + medical coverage

WHO CAN APPLY?

Education: A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Packing, Engineering, or a related Science field.

Professional Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Cosmetics, Personal Care, OTC, Food or related industry.

Knowledge & Skills:

1. Experience in packaging line trials and testing, and exposure to different packaging technologies and work processes.

2. In-depth knowledge of tools and processes used in manufacturing, e.g., DfM, D-FMEA, MDM, BOM, GCC, Root Cause Analysis, Statistics, Lean Manufacturing.

3. Understanding of GMP, Hygiene Practice and Quality System requirements.

4. Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

5. Good project management skills, and ability to prioritize, initiates and drive project to completion.

6. Demonstrate proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.

7. Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, ability to thrive in a close and multi-discipline environment and maintain positive and tactful relationships with others.

8. Ability to network and interact effectively with a broad range of associates spanning varied disciplines and responsibilities.

9. Ability to lead the team effectively across functions and functional levels.

10. Fluent in English written and oral communication and presentation skills.

11. Proactive approach to EH&S initiatives and support safety program deployments

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

• Responsible for leading development and qualification of tertiary packaging associated with new product and cost improvement, including end to end line qualification to meet the requirements for manufacturing a dynamic and diverse portfolio of products.
• This individual will be responsible for all required specifications, documentation, line trials, and testing to support product release. The individual will be taking a leadership role with tertiary packaging projects along with improvements and cost reduction of existing packages.
• The person should possess the ability to influence and interface with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
