Job Description

  • Provide engineering support in manufacturing high quality and regulatory-compliant laboratory and analytical devices.
  • Establishing effective work instructions and controls of critical process & test parameters.
  • Maintaining bill of materials and setting up routing hours.
  • Establish monitoring mechanism to key process parameters (yield, NCM) and respond proactively to process & material deviation in maintaining product quality and ensuring assurance of supply.
  • Collaborate with other internal functions as well as external supplier and service providers in running continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, cost and efficiency - tools and jig design, automation, process optimization.
  • Work closely with production to ensure assembly and test activities are carried out correctly and in compliance to released processes.
  • Work closely with production technician and assemblers on failure troubleshooting, provide WI (Work Instruction) update and training.
  • Investigate field failures and customer complaints to drive for mitigation and long-term solution with all relevant functions.
  • Manages ECO changes effectively through collaboration with multiple function – production, procurement, planning, materials, R&D.
  • Participate in NPI, Product Transfer for Product Insourcing activities to ensure successful landing of new products to the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering environment of electronics & medical instruments with strong basics in product engineering support and documentation (WI, FMEA, Control Plan, etc.).
  • Familiarization with ISO 90001 will be of added advantage.
  • High technical inclination with working knowledge across wide range of electro-mechanical topics – heaters, thermistors, PCBAs, motor & drive, machined & sheet metal parts, plastic parts.
  • Well-versed in quality tools and statistical methods (SPC, DOE, Statistical Inference, etc.) in analysis and technical problem solving.
  • Practical knowledge in statistical analysis and reporting.
  • Strong inclination to continuous improvement.
  • Technically inclined with good communication and people skills across all function from production to management - able to work with cross functional team objectively, result-oriented and disciplined.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
